The annual Renfrewshire Inter Club Competition was held in Paisley on 10th February.  The judge this year was Hunter Kennedy from Carluke CC who said that the selection of images presented by the seven clubs competing was the best he had seen this session.  As far as Eastwood were concerned we had submitted our panel of eight all from different authors and were hopeful of a successful result again.  Our main rivals, Paisley Colour CC were five marks ahead of us at the tea break and, despite a ‘spirited fight back’ in the second half we were beaten by just two marks.

Eastwood, recently, have never gone away empty handed from this event, and this time it was Stuart McCann who received 20 marks and the trophy for the best overall image with “Alice”.  Hunter Kennedy awarded four images the top mark of twenty and well done goes to John Hannah also for scoring the maximum with “Water Vole at Breakfast”.  Several raffle prizes were also won by those from Eastwood who attended..

On behalf of Eastwood PS, Vice-President Mary Robertson gave the vote of thanks to everyone who had made the evening such a success and extended a welcome to all clubs to join us in Eastwood in February 2018.
